First Visit Guidance
Your first visit is designed to be clear, structured, and reassuring. We’ll confirm what’s going on, assess thoroughly, explain our findings in plain language, and outline the most appropriate next steps—so you feel confident about your care.
Before Your Visit
To help your appointment run smoothly and to make the assessment as accurate as possible, please:
Bring any relevant medical reports or imaging, if you have
Let us know in advance if you are pregnant or any health concerns
Prepare a list of current medications and and supplements
Prepare your proof of identity documents (such as HKID card or passport)
Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement
Arrive 5–10 minutes early for registration
What to Expect at Your First Visit
1) Check-in & a brief conversation
We’ll confirm your details and ask what brought you in—your main symptoms, how long they’ve been present, what makes them better or worse, and how they affect daily life. Please mention any past injuries, surgeries, medical conditions, medications, and any current or recent treatment.
2) Assessment & examination
Your chiropractor will perform an assessment tailored to your concerns. This may include:
Posture and movement assessment
Range-of-motion testing
Muscle and strength testing
Orthopaedic and neurological checks (when appropriate)
3) Imaging or referral (if needed)
Not every case requires imaging. If an X-ray or other scan is recommended, we’ll explain the reason and how it may help inform care. If your presentation suggests “red flags” or a non-musculoskeletal cause, we may recommend referral or co-management with another healthcare professional.
We’ll explain:
What we found
The most likely drivers of your symptoms
How we will help to address your complaint
Suitable options for care, and why we recommend them
What you can do at home to support progress
We aim to keep everything clear and practical, so you can make informed decisions.
4) Report of findings
5) Personalised treatment
If chiropractic care is suitable, treatment may be offered on the first visit. Depending on your case, this can include:
Chiropractic adjustment or mobilisation (gentler joint techniques)
Soft tissue techniques
Modality work (Shockwave/Ultrasound/Electromagnetic)
Movement and rehab home exercises
Ergonomic advice
6) Care plan & Road to Recovery
We’ll outline a personalised plan, including likely phases of care, recommended visit frequency, and how progress will be tracked (for example, pain levels, functional goals, and range of motion).
Some patients might need to come in 3 times per week; while some might need once per week, depending on the case.

Frequency of care: 1-2 times per week during this phase
Maintenance / Wellness Care
Goal: maintain progress and support long-term musculoskeletal health.

After Your Visit: what you may feel
Some people feel improvement straight away, while others notice more gradual change over a few visits—especially when symptoms have been present for a longer time. It’s also common to experience normal short-term responses after treatment, such as:
Mild soreness or stiffness for 24–48 hours (similar to post-exercise)
A sense of fatigue after treatment as your body adapts to new treatment
A temporary increase in awareness/tightness in the treated area
